So I joined a local photographers network in Enumclaw and they are awesome. A bunch of us had been talking and had realized that we hadn't shot in the graffiti garages. I had mentioned they were going to paint over them. So one thing led to another and we decided to set up a shoot. So, I set up a stylized senior session in the Tacoma graffiti garages. I heard they were going to paint over them this last fall and was instantly saddened. In fact I thought they were already gone until a few weeks ago when a friend of mine had her family photos done there. I immediately started looking for models for this session and began talking to my friend Sarah. We found some great girls who attended Enumclaw High School and were totally excited to be doing this shoot with us. :) The garages make an incredible backdrop! For the first time since doing photography I actually fell in love with manual. I had so much fun changing all of my manual settings in fact I think I learned how to adapt to light quicker than I ever have before. What an amazing difference shooting in a colorful garage makes. I can't believe they are going to cover up such a creative backdrop. I hope I will be able to get in a few more shoots before they paint over this garage. So if you like what you see head over to my contact page and drop me a line and book a session something tells me come this May or June as soon as the weather is warm and the rain manages to stay out of the forecast for a week and there are no events on antique rows calendar for a week and the stars all seem to align that they will paint over this. So time is ticking away quickly. I hope you enjoy these AMAZING images, as much as I enjoyed taking them!
